First, check if you have low or high set masseters

Low set masseters are ideal, and will look better after hypertrophy

High set masseters will make you look bloated if you work the muscle to hypertrophy

Any normal gym will aid in training the muscle, even better with mastic or hard gum

Mark this as a solution if it helped

No specific way to chew the gum. I usually get two pieces of gum, and put them on both sides of mouth so I'm training both sides at the same time - prevents asymmetries.

You can tell if your masseters are high or low set by lightly clenching your teeth in the mirror and watching where the muscle bulges: if it pops out closer to your cheekbones or mid-cheek and makes your face look wider higher up, you have high-set masseters; if it bulges lower near the jaw angle, making your jaw look longer and squarer with more width at the jawline, you have low-set masseters.
