Well, personally I believe in the theory of simulation, I think life it's like this huge, open-world sandbox game, there's probably no ultimate end-game goal, but there are multiple things and achievements you can try to do, like:
- gain as much money as you can
- bang as many women as possible
- acquire various skills and knowledge
- obtain various items, common, rare or unique.
- build stuff - houses, cars, boats, etc. and decorate them.
- travel to different locations
- hunt, fish, destroy various enemies in different ways.
- etc.
