How do i fix an overbite

I have an overbite and it hurts most of the time when i chew. I permajutt but it doesnt solve the root problem, just masks a result. How can i fix it, and if there are any non-surgical ways, please let me know because my dad will 1000% never let me get a surgury, unless prescribed by a doctor
