I’ve been struggling to talk to people for a while now. Conversations feel awkward. I overthink everything I say, and most times I end up saying nothing at all.I have a lisp, and growing up, I got teased a lot for it. It made me self-conscious about speaking — like people were just waiting to laugh at me.Because of that, I avoided socializing. Now, I hate going outside or being around people. It feels exhausting and uncomfortable. I feel like I have no sense of humor. I try to be funny or interesting, but it doesn’t land. I end up feeling even more out of place. I am too young to take any peptides like semax or selank btw.

I have a lisp too, for general social skills though I'd say just talk to more people as you do that more the more used to it you'll get and more confident you'll feel with it. a good strategy when talking to people is ask them about them and then weaving it into another question or comment - just try to learn about each other and have fun

just try to fit in / find people that understand your humour. if you can't then it's just a matter of coping. sorry man, good luck.

Stop using ChatGPT to write your post that’s the first step

It sounds like the teasing you experienced growing up has made you overly self-conscious when speaking, and that avoidance has turned into a habit. The best way forward is practice in low-pressure situations — starting small, maybe with people you trust — and slowly building up. A speech therapist could also help with the lisp, which might make you feel more confident in conversations.
For now, your safest "performance enhancer" is repeated exposure, self-confidence building, and learning conversational frameworks that make talking feel less like a test and more like a shared moment.

Lmao, I've been using "; and —" long before ChatGPT was even invented.
