Take a mirror selfie or use a regular camera and not a shitty phone one.

Just no front facing camera. Older phones hhave more lens distortion btw. New phones have good front facing cameras to combat it. To be safe, just hold your phone out as far as you can. BUt really a video is a better option.

For light, there is no "light halo". The light you look good in is typically what you look like irl. Just have someone take a video of you in a regularly lit room tbh
