Highly genetic, but not entirely. Twin studies show variance of 6-8 points, so environment plays a factor. You definetely can improve WIM(working memory index), using dual N back, for example. WIM is linked with g, thus it might have small far transfer effects on IQ. There are a lot of anecdotes online, and some studies show improvement in intelligence metrics, but it is not totally clear.

I would say this would be the best bet, if you care about it.

How you look = genetics
How much u are intelligent = genetics
How hardworking u are = genetics to an extent too via inheriting certain neuropsychological traits.

wtf is self improvement then? lmfao

I want to be like my favorite anime character. Will this give me Light Yagami/L/Johan Liebert levels of IQ?

The only self improvement we can do is actively support Eugenics to make the next generation better off than us. Self improvement is just cucking yourself, so someone else can reap your benefits from your work then. lmfao

The efficacy of dual n back may not be all that it is said to be.
There is some contention on the topic(example: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4820261/)

But yeah, I believe working memory has one of the highest correlations with g. Digit span for example correlates linearly with IQ, so in some sense working memory(in the sense of one people able to store and manipulate information internally) is one of the most important aspects of IQ.

Yes it is really contested topic. But many studies show, medium sized transfer effect on WIM. Also what many cognitive studies lack is the time period and motivation. Those cannot be controlled in mental aspects. Someone who is trying his hardest to improve in memory tasks(gives more effort) might show more improvement. And on time, all of the studies are less than few months, we cannot be sure the effect don't take longer to manifest. Like going to the gym for few months will show little effect, rather than spending years.

You can try using Dihexa, its a relatively new type of nootropic that rewires the brain for long term cognitive enhancement. It's a synthetic peptide derived from angiotensin 4 designed to go beyond traditional nootropics by directly stimulating neurogenesis and synaptogenesis unlike substances that merely tweak neurotransmitter levels. Dihexa targets the very pathways responsible for brain growth and repair. You can watch Claviculars' video on this "How to increase your IQ PERMANENTLY". Although it's a new peptide where very little research has been made, i wouldn't consider using it until your brain fully develops naturally which is around 24 -25.
