my third time touching a soccer ball, practiced passing for like 30 minutes and couldn’t get it, then tried a game. I couldn’t pass, dribble, shoot the ball, missed every touch, could barely play defense I ended up falling over and landing on my toe and now I can’t walk and I’m waiting for it to heal. How do I actually learn to play.

When my foot heals im going to try actual drills. I can’t even touch the ball to do anything without feeling like a paraplegic skipping around

Juggle the ball a lot for controll and touch.

Watch some tutorials on how to dribble on youtube. Then learn the moves and freestyle dribble alone in fast pace in your yard like an autist

Pass the ball against a wall for some first touch.

Best practice is playing with other people, especially small games where you get to have the ball more

I’m getting that vibe the beginner resources are terrible. With any other sport there are how to’s from 0 but with soccer I’m seeing ‘drills’ and the tutorial videos are aimed towards toddlers

Partner passing, wall passing, touch practice with wall passing and high passing, juggling in free time, cone drills for ball control, practicing touching into space, ball control drills. Outside of actual practice, start watching games, and youtube videos on dribbling analysis and football iq. Start learning how to postion into space and how to find the best pass. Learn skill moves once you can function in a proper game by taking touches into space, passing before the ball is taken from you, having good enough ball distribution to make 7/10 passes, and properly mark another player and defend in 1v1 situations.
