How do I recover from long term stimulant use / dependency

I'm currently 22 y/o.

I was prescribed Ritalin at a really young age (10-12 don't really remember). Then Adderall when I was 14 . I probably started taking my meds seriously when I entered college at 18.

I can't function at all when I don't take my meds. I get horrible Restless Leg Syndrome, and spend all day pacing around my room browsing tiktok. I become extremely impulsive and start acting self-destructively.

It's the same shit when I'm on meds as well, but I have a higher resistance to acting impulsively.

Just thinking about my dependence to stims and how fried my brain probably is makes me wanna end it.

I'm too tired to think. I'm destined for failure.

I need some validation.

A caveman wouldn't have been able to survive in solitude. If I decided to live like a caveman I would need a tribe of people beside me. I'm certain that neither my family or friends would join me in my venture to live like a caveman.

So you ruled out that it's not just the way you usually act without Ritalin?

I have no personal experience, but perhaps try to taper off slowly and make sure to have patience, a healthy sleep schedule and a balanced diet diet (with special emphasis on protein/phenylalanine/tyrosine, ferrous iron and B6). Exercise won't hurt either

I fucking doubt if it's only because of long term stimulant use. you are just having severe symptoms of adhd, it's there for non-drug users too. better talk with a top-notch shrink to solve your problems.
