My laziness is crippling

I’ve managed to get by so far doing well, even very well in life by being this lazy. However, I don’t think it will last anymore. How can I fix this? Did anyone get over the same issues?

I wasn’t always this lazy (I was always lazy, but to a lower degree in the past), I’ve been gradually getting worse and worse since the pandemic (although 2025 has been marginally better than the years before)

I was very depressed not that long ago and now I am doing very well. Some advice I can give is that everyday look forward to doing something tomorrow. For me it is trying to improve my looks and knowing every day adds up to my final goal. (Also everyone has this kinda voice in the back of there mind telling them that they should do something) and usually we shut it out because it doesn’t give dopamine. But if you just get up and do it, you’ll feel way better abt yourself then if you ignored it. (Idk if this helps :feelswhy:)

You are right, the best idea is probably to just shut myself up and force myself to do what I'm supposed to do. Many times I dread something, but when I actually end up doing it its not that bad

I just have very low energy levels which is brutal. I'm in college and I know exactly what I need to do to be set for life/get a good career, but when I think about how much work school is going to be, I just feel dread. I think of shortcuts, which can work, but if I do them, then it'll come back to bite me in the ass later.

this sounds like really generic but another thing that helped me is just honestly taking care of yourself (yes that means eat healthy/ perfect hygiene every day) it honestly increased my energy levels so much.
But when I was in school I hated it so much. I was dead ass the weird kid in school lol. Just very quiet cuz anxiety nd shi. So I can’t really give you any palatable advice.

This might be placebo but no fap is helping me hella too.

I wish you the best in your college journey. And wish u succeed.
