how do i train for strentgh at gym rather than for aesthetics

ive seen things like volume/sets/reps or some bullshit like that, can someone advise me
 
always train for aesthetic who cares about real strength
 
i cant do a single push up as a 17 year old, im ashamed of myself
bahahahaaha, oh my god, as long as you have consistency,

i did 20 pull ups as a 17 yr old, but im now depressed
again consistency is key
 
get fat as fuck and do the most stressful weight lifting exercises like deadlifts and do some callisthenics as well
but i have no idea why you would want to do that
 
training for strength is impossible without improving aesthetics but you should train your core and heart for maximum strength
i know, i try to train my core as much as possible
