I've never been to a single wedding or had a single family member have a wedding. How the hell do Americans have giant weddings with hundreds of family members there? Only family I got is my mom and sibling and thats it.

Social circle...They send invitations to everyone they know. Those who plan on getting married later have to go, so they will also send invitations and have guests at their own wedding, it's kinda like a Ponzi circular scheme.
I know some guys who drew the short straw - they went to others people weddings, but they couldn't marry later and wasted time and money for nothing. Or the others didn't go to their wedding, they claimed they were busy or something.
I didn't plan on getting married so I rejected wedding invitations, now even if I would change my mind, I can't do it because I would have no guests at my wedding.
