I want to attain the knowledge in books, but I despise reading them; I'd much rather just doomscroll instead. How do people actually enjoy the process of attaining information though? Is this something only developable with people younger since they have more brain plasticity; is it impossible to do this at a later age? Seems impossible tbh

I feel like the ideal habitual "reader", are those that have started reading at a young age, have some weird genetic inclination that causes them to want to read, have a relatively unfried brain and are higher IQ which helps them retain information serving as another incentive.

force urself to do it until u start to enjoy them more

forcing yourself to do it will cause your brain to associate it with stress and negative feelings. You'll never be able to enjoy it then.

Read a book on a topic that actually interests you. Listening to ambient while reading makes it more enjoyable also.
