How do Turks and Asians not have coloured eyes when they adapted to a mountainous and cold climate?

In the highlands and mountains of central and Eastern Anatolia for example it gets cold as shit like reaching minus tier during the winter. But yet the people have bug eyed T50’s. Same with East Asians but they have monolids while having dark brown eyes at the same time. Like how are Siberians, Inuits, Northern Native Americans lacking green and blue eyes yet Europeans have it?

My grandfather was from the Anatolian mountains and had bright blue eyes. Unfortunately my grandmother didn’t so nuked the blue eyes genes. If it wasn’t for her my whole family would have had blue eyes

The blue eye mutation first occurred somewhere near the black sea region. Way before light skin and light hair appeared. It supposedly offers no significant advantage when it comes to survival, and spread most likely due to sexual selection, essentially it was a unique striking attractive trait. There is some speculation that it offers marginally better vision in the dark, so it might have assisted hunting, but that's debatable.

Well the prevailing theory is that it occurred randomly and spread due to sexual selection, that's pretty much it really. It had nothing to do with cold environment and sun exposure.

It's similar to the irish elk. The females selected males with bigger and bigger antlers for purely aesthetic reasons, and their antlers started getting bigger and bigger, ending up to be burden and inhibit their survival, thus they went extinct.

You're not very good as this, are you? The Turks of Anatolia are NOT very closely related to TURKMEN. There's more genetic similarity between Germans and Turks than between Turks and Turkmen.

Also, Turks have a decent proportion of blue/light eyes but it would be more in the Southern Italian range as opposed to a Dutch range. DUH.

Italians, especially in its South have LOWER levels of EHG than most of so-called Europe. They (especially in the South) also have more CHG and uniquely to the South, Iranian Neolithic ancestry.
