In 99% of cases it is IP logging and social engineering. Clicking a link they send reveals your IP address jt narrows down your location. Then they look through your posts Scraping your posts, photos, usernames, bios, follows, likes.Reverse image search on profile pictures or photos you've posted (house in the background, car licence plates, signs etc) and reference it with Google maps and narrow it down. It's not very hard to do. @Greypiller

You don't need to be someone like Rainbolt to track people down. He managed to do it with just a single video, but the average Twitter user already leaves behind a mountain of personal data without realizing it. Every photo, post, or casual comment you make can carry little traces that reveal your location or habits. Pro doxxers the guys on KiwiFarms have found out people's entire bio data from their birth certificate to which school they went to and their social security numbers with just pieces of information.

Well they just need a few things.

1.) Name
2.) Age
3.) Rough location

Everyone’s adress is listed online, with their full name, age, etc.
(At least in america)

If there is a white supremacist online, he has probably said some shit like

“As a proud texan I believe——-“

Ok, now you have the rough location.

He has also probably said some shit like

“In my 38 years of life ive never seen——“

Now you have his age.


Now all you need is to somehow get his name.
A lot of the white supremacists are public with their face and name, so it shouldnt be too hard.

Well now you go to an adress database website, put in

Name: John Doe
Age: 38
Location: Texas


And it will show you all of the 38 year old john does living in texas.
You would probably want a more approximate location but still.

I know the actual correct answer.

For a while there was a back-end "panel" used by X employees and access to it was sold in certain marketplaces. When you have access to the panel you can see all kinds of information about the user, especially if they use the X app on their mobile phone. Obviously buying/selling access to the panel was illegal.

So you have 2 categories of people who can see all your info - tons of X employees and anyone who paid for access to the panel
