I've accepted it now of course, I find joy in the small things. Gym, maths, nature, reading.
Accepted some compromises, I wanted to study math but I'll settle for comp.sci. so I'm a not a destitute proletariat a decade from now, at uni perhaps I'll finally find some friends where I don't have to fake my entire personality to have fun with them.

I think you should ask yourself the same question too, why are you so worried on missing out on teen love? Why would that specifically make you happy? Do you crave to be wanted just for you?
