I have read countless posts all of which fail to describe concise methods in encouraging forward growth of the lower jaw. I was wondering if certain orthodontic treatments would assist growth or counteract it, such as braces or elastics that may have negative or positive effects. Are there any exercises, even if they may not be expected to completely transform the lower jaw, that could support development? Are chewing methods such as focusing on the incisor teeth when chewing effective or is that futile? Bonesmashing, chin tucks, tongue posture etc.

What is the best way to ensure growth in the mandible whilst it is still possible? (considering others have achieved such growth)

idk (mark this as a solution)

What do you imply by 'hard chewing'
Don't listen to anybody that advises you chewing to gain forward growth
It will only hypertrophy your jaw muscles which may or may not give you the desired look

chewing to hypertrophy ur masseters is a low T activity and makes u look shit, incisor chewing is benefical though for forward growth as it exerts force on ur premaxilla

How does it make you look shit?
I know a dude who chewed chewing gum frequently in the past and now he has those striations visible everytime he chews on food and it looks attractive too
But the thing to be noted is that you need to be lean first,if you try this at BF% > 16 then you will look bloated ofcourse

I'm not talking about big or small masseters,I am just saying that striations in your masseter area is attractive
I have seen people with small masseters that have visible striations but not as prominent as the lean guy that I was talking about, above your reply

My orthodontist had given me braces, to better my overbite. The braces i only put in at night. These braces were made out of two parts, one for my upper jaw and one for the bottom. And the one for the upper jaw, there was a little metal thing, wich when i closed my mouth blocked me frome closing. It forced me to move my madible forward and then the metal thing sled in the bottom brace. It helped me good, considering my oberbite was way worse back then.

Enjoy your maxillary retrusion if younger than 16.

Anyways, facepulling could help but not enough proof. Try it then write back

Depends

Your lower jaw wont magically grow if you dont have any recession to begin with. If youre young enough peptides/steroids and hard chewing (considering you dont have tmd) will force your jaw to grow. Bonesmash your chin, and tongue posture iş a must. Recessed maxilla is way worse than recessed mandible.
