As someone else said, take a look at their before/after cases and formulate an opinion on their work. Also ask yourself if you agree with their general aesthetic sensibility. I would also recommend getting in touch with former patients of theirs if you can. Definitely schedule a consultation appointment as well (I would suggest an in-person one if possible).

The surgeon I'm going with doesn't really do before and after pictures, this is because in my country people don't really do jaw surgery for cosmetic reasons. And you can't really trust before and after pictures because they can be cherry picked.
