Or better, what keeps you going?

Because i was born poor, i'm confined to only have studying as a means of moving up in life, but it feels impossible to do it when you're such a loser like me.

Yesterday, i had a complete mental breakdown, where i reminisced about my entire life's suffering at once.

I know studying is the only way out for people born in my condition, but honestly, i often think about how rotting is so much better and how that even if i put effort into anything i tried to achieve i still think i would fail because i was destined to it.

u were born to be a poor slave just like your father and his before him, you will never be more than mediocre in the workplace or in the dating scene, your best bet would be to LDaR (lay down and rot) just give up

Or u could try adderal to help u become a manic studycel which might ascend u

i'm opposite to you but have same problem. born rich, nothing in life ever makes me happy. i thought a lot about my future and despite knowing i'll never struggle, i'm not seeing that i'll be happy like ever. now depressed like shit, going to therapist and antidepressants doesn't work, just read all day and try watching movies. i had girlfriend, money, solid college, two really close friends, supportive family, hobbies, lived alone, fucking therapist ask me why the hell i'm depressed when i have it all. life sucks. would try adderall (tho i already fucked my brains up with snorting amphetamine), but if somebody have reccomendations for some good philosophy books please, i'm desperate

There is an existentialist book that improved my outlook on life a lot which is called "The Myth of Sisyphus" by Albert Camus. The main point of the book is about how life is Absurd, how oppressive it can be and how we have little control or understanding of it. It might seem depressing at first, but at its core the book carries a message of optimism.

If you wish to delve further, i also recommend reading all of Nietzsche's works. He made me stop being such a weakling.

Wish you good luck pal.

I don't. Graduating from high school was one of the happiest days of my life. Didn't go to college either (not like I could afford it anyway).

The best book to start reading Nietzsche is Beyond Good and Evil imo

Beyond good and evil is the most "accessible" of his books.
But read the "Pensées" of Blaise Pascal first, a masterpiece.

Probably, I can't see anyone having genuine interest or motivation in accounting etc.

Even if you despise studying, if you despise whatever results from not studying even more, you'll eventually do it.
You could try to get your hands on adderall though, just do not abuse it. Learn how to use it effectively and it'll change your life.
Once you've used it you realize it's all neurochemistry, the only thing holding you back from being a studying machine is your neurochemistry.

for me its the combo of long sleep + liking what i see in the mirror in the morning, then i always have a productive day

I have the "warrior gene"/MAOA, which means low basal norepinephrine and dopamine levels and high irritability.

It's all about whether you enjoy what you are studying.

I can study for 3 hours straight if it's Mathematics or Physics because of my natural inclination for these subjects.

I also hope all you "worrier" bastards die because life must be amazing for you with such high levels of dopamine you have.

You don't need motivation to do things. Ask yourself. Do I really want to study to achieve X? If the genuine answer is YES, then you just study every day, that's it.

When the hard times come that's where u have to show up, put the work and don't be a pussy

tell yourself you’re intelligent and try to understand the concepts. Even if you don’t have a passion for the subject just keep pushing and looking for the interest in the subject because it’s there.
