How do you measure your height?

I always measured with my head tilted slightly downwards as the back of my head is a bit taller.. But that is obviously not how my head is tilted usually. Also I'm stretching my back as tall as possible when I measure myself. In real life I'm usually standing less straight.

But if you're being honest, how do you think the average man measures his height? I doubt he won't make himself as tall as possible when getting measured?

There is a 1.2cm difference between head tilted and neutral head position with eyes parallel to the ground. So if the latter is the right way to measure, then I'm EVEN shorter than I already thought I was...

I was measured by a stadiometer in the military, and I streched myself out and tilted my head downwards to achieve more height, and they said nothing. They took that height. Not sure if that now means that's legit or not.

I don't know how army works in your country, perhaps if there is no minimum height requirement they don't care if you "cheat"? But if you go to the doctor and tell them you want accurate measure, I think he can tell you how to stand "properly"

I think the real height measure is shoulder height. Everything else is cope. A long neck or head won't make you look tall, it just makes you look weird.

Stand as straight/tall as possible and keep your head in neutral postition, it's not that hard

so that's allowed? I think I need to do more stretching to always be in a straight position, I usually slouch a bit, but walking around straight as a stick also looks weird. And my head is just slightl downturned, because my gay alien skull is highest on the back.

how accurate r doctors office staiometers? i get a bit over 6’1-6’2 on it but 6’3-6’4 at home so im coping
