Well mostly it's just intuitively learnt from patterns. If you are still clueless try to be more observant, you'll learn to put yourself in the shoes of others and know what annoys them etc. That's essentially what "verbally mogging" is, it's not really vocab it's more just knowing how the other person will respond.
