how do you train optimally in basketball to improve faster and better in a shorter amount of time?

Just be BBC, ober if white
 
Train hard in weight lifting, plyometrics, sprinting, and 'short' long distance running like the 800m, 1,600m, and 2,400m runs
First learn how to shoot open jumpers. After that, you throw the ball to random places on the court and simulate catch and shoot scenarios. Then learn how to shoot off the dribble, stepbacks, and in transition(like fast breaks). Simulate game speed, shoot with high arc always, and know your strong and weak shooting spots on the court
Start and finish your training with free throws
Learn floaters
Play with people who are better than you
Master your favorite moves by repeating them in game

In a few months, you'll be a monster and a rec stomper if you have decent genetics(assuming you have played basketball a lot before)

true tbh. the height, fast twitch muscle fibers, and the long arms & legs of blacks literally make them optimized for b ball

Yep it's insane, their genes aren't meant for anything outside of the deep lush jungles. As for the Africans, it's a whole different story:

There are a few pure Africans at my uni who are total nerds, I know for a fact they don't work out, and they have the most insane calves jutting out, veins up and down their arms, and crazy frames overall. Even 1 of them has a younger sister who frame-mogs me jfl

i dont really think being good at basketball is genetics are. most of the time i think its just iq. i promise you if curry was 5'11 and 20ms slower, he would still be hall of fame status.

mostly i think its just about how you learn something. because the way you learn something will be the way it gets wired into your brain, and once its wired that way. its really hard to unwire or change that neuron link. i could just spam basketball dribbling drills but i wont really improve all that much. maybe i could get muscle memory about how to do all those flashy moves but in reality when you watch the nba. each player does smart and coordinated moves they know work for them. the goal is to keep the other opponent guarding you in momentum. thats why training optimally is best. training in a smart way is the best way to improve. yeah first off learn the. basics, the fundamentals. and after you learn the fundamentals then work on your own playstyle your own moves, dont just study the moves kyrie uses to dribble around such and such, but look at why he did it and at the eyes of the oppenent. but yeah

yeah duh, most africans who actually live in their country have been the closest thing to hunter-gatherers, thousands of years of evolution will grant them superior genetics
