How does brushing your lips for width work?

I’ve read somewhere here that you can brush your lips and get them irritated so they swell and the illusion that they’re wider appears, but how do you even brush them? I tried brushing the ends of my lips but that only irritated the skin outside the lips and made them red, maybe that’s what they meant? Ig that works alright too but it would be way better if my actual lips swelled up in width since mine are so deformed i can’t even tell if they reach my pupils.

Inject castor oil in the end and sleep, trust me it works, it will swell your lips, only in the end.

I dont really know he cuts it every now and then so it dont really grow back but he just cuts it a litlle bit every time
