Tbh 99% of doxxers just reverse image a pic, sends them to an instagram, gets there full name through there instagram, puts it on white pages and gets all there info lol

As long as you don't get on their radar you are mostly fine tbh. People that generally get doxxed on the forum are people they call "lolcows" The culture there tends to revolve around documenting patterns of behavior rather than randomly targeting private users, and threads usually snowball only when the subject keeps engaging or provides fresh material in this case clav but there are some freaks there that seemingly dox anyone they don't like.

This is partly true but it’s an oversimplification. Yes in cybersecurity the first thing we were taught is that a lot of compromises come down to user error phishing, malicious downloads, reused passwords bad OPSEC. But that’s not the whole picture.

You can get identified without ever clicking a link like broker leaks, breached platforms, exposing emails/ips metadata in images, old forum posts cros referenced or even someone else slipping up and naming you. Sometimes it’s not a technical failure at all just pattern matching and social engineering over time but it would take someone who is very determined to reconstruct all this if you have good opsec

This guide should get you started. Note that doxxing is really just the field of OSINT. If someone really wants to doxx you and they have a lot of information on you like a forum account where you have 12k posts. It's not hard. You might leave little breadcrumbs about yourself that you think are harmless but if someone is logging those breadcrumbs... well uh it forms a slice of bread
