i always thought that atleast avoiding suffering has personal value to everyone otherwise why dont you just stab yourself in the eye and seek antipain medication. if its implied that you might suffer forever (Thats what nihilism implies) thats fucking horrible

nihilism doesnt depress unconscious agents like rocks but it does humans who are conscious and can experience suffering

i view absurdism as basically saying 'fuck it we ball' and enjoying things like talking to people/nature (basic earthly pleasures)

i think i might used to enjoy some things (legit dont even remember if i did or i was just deluded) but i cant enjoy anything anymore so im left with the bad stuff

i try to change things it just gets worse . i dont even enjoy walks now . if i dont listen to music for too long a song sounds a bit better but that 'satisfies' me for too long again and i dont wanna hear music if that makes sense. like my refractory period is way too long and it takes so little to satisfy it

i like aspects of christianity i was also raised orthodox but i dont have enough evidence for it and i hard logically disagree with some of the scriptures

definitely wish it was true bar some written things instead of stuff like buddhism/hinduism that supposedly try to align with human logic but also fail in pathetic ways

The shroud is good evidence. When people try to say it was debunked they’re referring to an old test done with outside material. Later tests proved that was cloth added later due to damage, tests on the oldest cloth (original and untouched cloth) prove that it’s around the time of Christ. That combined with the facts of the nature of the shroud and how it basically has a 3d image imprinted is great proof. No one with modern science can recreate its effects so how could some medieval people forge it?

ehh some versions of of them. most people dont even recognise what these religion/philosophies are tryng to say, some expect a experienceable state of bliss post death aka the western heaven, its debated what nirvana actually is and versions disagree. buddhists themselves dont even know what theyre trying to say tbh i dont hold them in high regard so wont go into it more also huge chunks of these religions are still mythology/speculations based on nothing

There was some rich decent looking harvard student who was obsessed with nihilism. He wrote like 9000 page essay on nihilism and pointlesness of not just life, but whole universe.
