How does one actually lose fat?

I'm 15, 5'10, and around 75kg. I've never really been able to establish a routine to train/go to the gym. I basically have no muscle mass and in about 20% bf according to my retarded Manlet friend. How do I actually lose fat and gain muscle so I don't look like a bloated piece of shit? Also I can only eat what my mom makes :feelswah:

literally just eat less. once you're at/bordering underweight BMI then start building muscle and only start increasing your calorie intake once you're too far underweight. Luckily I don't think your aren't fat enough for much long lasting permanent damage to have been caused assuming you haven't ever been too much heavier than you are now. I'd advise taking up some other consumption habits to decrease the time spent eating high calorie foods if you lack the self control to go cold turkey. Recommendations include pickles sauerkraut and mints for snacking, try to avoid potatoes as they're quite dense, keep your bread portions under control, go very light on salad dressing keep your protein portions down to about the size of an egg, and try to use cooking methods that don't require much oil. I've found that as long as you reduce portion sizes to about half of what you'd normally have and go with gut instinct for what is and isn't high calorie you should be mostly fine with a few exceptions.

Try to prioritize weight loss over muscle gains, muscle is only defined once your body fat percentage is low enough and it's much easier to fraud bulk than it is to hide bloat.
