You really can't avoid using the traps in some exercises but you can make your shoulder engage better without activating your traps as much. With proper form, chest up and out, shoulder blades back.

If you want to go heavy on shit like lateral raises they do partial reps instead of full range of motion, and work on rear delts more with reverse chest flys using light weight with more volume.

big traps are aesthetic as fuck what the fuck are you on about
Big traps look pretty shit for aesthetic, it makes your shoulder look smaller in comparison especially in clothes.

Frank Zane avoided doing trap isolation because you get enough work on them doing other exercises unless want them to be huge of course but thats not ideal for aesthetic. Same with Steve Reeves. both of who imo have ideal physique.

If you have overly developed traps and under developed shoulders then yeah, it is pretty fucking shit, but if theyre proportional then in my opinion it makes a physique look way better than if you had no traps to begin with tbf, you cant have huge fucking shoulders and have 0 trap development that would legit make you look comical

Lower traps work is fine because it makes your upper back look thicker from the side but upper traps are a no no for isolation imo

Yeah I'm just saying you really shouldn't isolate traps since they're worked in other compound movements

Over developed traps(upper) gives your shoulders a sloped look instead of the aesthetic squared off look

I would imagine he has many children which some he might not even know, the guy is an absolute sex icon during his time.
