this sounds like cope at first, but for most of us complaining about everything, just fixing the basics would improve our mood drastically (nutrition, exposure to sun, exercise, socializing, stopping rotting with internet, junk food and alcohol etc)

yea, the catch is that this doesn't seem to correlate with objective life quality. at least from what i've noticed on others irl. i've met too many extreme grinders (who grind for nothing - poor, look like shit, no real satisfaction in life) and people who have it on easy mode with women (or money) and still cant force themselves to do anything

i posted a study about this being largely genetic the other day

in my case, even if i experience an insane dopamine hit (getting with a hot girl, excelling at work etc), its motivating effects cease to exist within minutes

just google it (willpower/drive genetic or something), a lot of research on the topic. some do factor in epigenetic factors, but the idea that everyone has the same potential to just man up and become a robot one morning is hilariously naive

yes true but weirdly my brother who is the human geneticly closest has alot of energy, he does sport alt. Guess for me it really came down to just beeing unlucky in life, getting bullied and then losing all hope

but then again, there are many people who've been in this situation who used it to become extraordinary. and if anyone could "just do it", people would change much more throughout their lives, which is something i'm not seeing irl at all

(same goes for magical looks transformations and invisible subhumans becoming slayers, something most people on this site genuinely believe in)
