I played games since I was 4 yo but that didnt affect me except for nightmares from playing horror games too much
however in my teens i began playing csgo - this game was fine because i played with guys from school so not too nerdy
then i started playing on samp roleplay servers - complete nerd activity, but also the most fun i haD in video games
dota 2 - complete nerd activity and everyone in school looked at me weird if i mentioned playing it
lol - too far gone

It's depends on your individual genes. I have ADHD and for me daily gaming is far more damaging than drugs from time to time(sic!). It deplets my dopamine to much. Also among my male friends these ones who do not play video games do best in life.

I played a lot while young. In high school I played lol, wow and starcraft with my friends in lan parties. Also mario kart wii drinking game later on. I would have never drank underage because I only knew my guy friends, we didnt need alcohol to have fun while young and we knew 0 girls.
