How I went from red eyes to a healthy white sclera on accutane.

I’ve been seeing more posts about dry eyes on isotret, the biggest side was red eyes for me, I almost stopped it all together until I solved this issue.

DO NOT USE LUMIFY
Combined with isotret, it causes extreme light sensitivity, rebound redness, and could leave lasting red veins that took me A MONTH to go away from using lumify frequently.

Here’s what I did to whiten my sclera.

1. Use nighttime eye ointment nightly to keep eyes moisturized, never had more healthy looking eyes

2. Use Omega 3 lubricating drops 5-8 times a day

3. Take fish oil daily

That’s it, even if you aren’t on isotret, you’re sclera will be brighter and healthier than baseline at all times.

It took me 1-2 weeks for it not to be severe, but just remember that the body repairs itself and does go away.

I decided to go back on isotret since I started using a little bit of ointment 2-3 times during the day, it can make my vision slightly blurry so use it only on the corners of the eyes away from the pupil in the lower eyelid.

The ointment really saved my eyes and made the redness go away.

I’m using Accutane for life, It’s worth using the eye ointment every night imo there’s noticeable sclera improvement.

Those omega 3 drops you recommended are goated. I swear my schlera instantly got whiter after a few drops in each eye.

Also aside from the ointment, one more thing you can do is use a warm compress on your eye for 10 min a day when ur lying down about to sleep. Feels pretty relaxing and melts the oil inside your eyelid to make it much more hydrated,
