I'm getting revision bimax in Brazil with a very reputated surgeon (at least top 5 in country). You can see my planning here: https://looksmax.org/threads/rate-my-bimax-revision-planning-cbct-with-soft-tissue-included.647759/
But then it came to the actual surgery cost. Surgeon honorary was not that costly, nor it was the medical expenses, but the surgical materials were absurdly expensive. I noticed there was a lot more plates and screws than usual (45 screws in total, 11 plates), so I asked for a more affordable budget. Surgeon than came with another budget including way less plates and screws (25 screws, 5 plates), roughly the half of what was firstly set.
I'm assuming there's obviously some disadvantages from using less material in the fixation system, but do I have a reason to be concerned? I obviously asked about it directly to my surgeon, but he's always evading me and giving shallow answers.
