How long did it take you to go from benching 135lbs to 225lbs (1RM)?

Also tell me how your diet was during that time period
 
i started gym benching only 20kg for reps and took me a year to bench 100kg 1rm. shit diet didnt lose any fat but gained 10-15kgs in muscle

I never did flat bench regularly but my incline bench went from 60kg to 100kg in about 8-9months I think.

It took me around 3 months to go from 60kg to 100kg, 4k cals daily and usually 250-300 grams of protein (probably don’t need that much protein). Oh yeah one more thing I went from 68-76 kilos which obviously made gaining strength 10x easier.

1.5 years but I wasted 6 months of that yoyo dieting, so you can likely get it in a year if you don't make the same mistakes I did.

Already made that mistake but instead for a whole year throughout my sophomore yr higschool:feelswah:

it’s not hard at all, just eat good food.

I used to always eat chicken breasts, thighs and drumsticks. I switch between them whenever I’m bored, also salmon, sea bass and red meat like steak or liver. And there’s one more thing I did that helped me but a lot of people think what I did was wrong but I used to drink 2.5 liters of full fat milk daily. Mixing all this made hitting my protein and calorie goal very very easy. Oh yeah don’t forget ur carbs
