How long does an overbite take to get fixed with braces?

I have overbite which makes me look recessed its crazy,
Lets jist say i get braces. How long will it take to get fixed? Its not that severe tbh. Its noticable but not “that” noticeable

It can fix it as long as you don't wear those shitty elastics, I had braces with rubber bands for 2 years and that shit fucked me ngl

Im not taking the risk tho, my teeth are good its just i have a slight overbite but im not risking a flat maxilla just to fix a overbite that isnt that noticeable
