Some guy said indefinitely, some guy said it goes soft. Shelf life of 6 months if opened is what google says. Let's say 2hrs hard use a day.

With 2 hrs a day it'll become rubberish in a week, you can still chew it but it just feels weird for me and tastes worse so I change every other week
