i do around 2-8 hrs every other day, but i try to make my sessions as long as possible as long as i dont hear popping and cracking in my jaw joint.
u should take glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate with msm supplements bc they save ur fucking joints and solve ALL ur problems

I think I've said this ten times on this forum but.

Short answer: No more than an hour a day, but high resistance so it tires you out within that hour and you really feel like you've worked the muscles. It's just like muscle training, working out hard and to exhaustion for an hour is better than lifting a dumbell up and down for four hours. that's just gonna fukc your elbows up.

You should emulate the way they chewed hard foods before. People have a misconception that chewing hard foods and substances will give you TMJ. That's not true. What will give you TMJ the fastest is chewing for extended periods of time, nonstop. Because why would you do that? No food requires you to do that. It's not natural. It wears out the joints, and is a sign that the stuff you're chewing isn't high enough of a resistance to actually work and tear down your muscles, aka you're not going to get any serious muscle gains. So chew for no more than an hour a day, but make sure it's tough to chew it. It should burn, not the teeth, but the muscles. Also why it's important to chew straight up and down, or else you're gonna damage the jaw joint and teeth too, I think.

my masseter inserts are pretty nice and they almost wrap around my lower cheekbones which give a nice appearance when i flex em. ive been chewing like this probably for a month or two, and i noticed results after probably ~2-3 weeks of consistent chewing. also my facial muscles have been more prominent, just make sure ur not sucking a fuck ton and using ur buccinators

every single word of this, including the up and down jaw movement- chewing.

We can't apply Rich Piana's "8 hour work out a day"-philosophy to chewing
