If you've been following the recent discourse on X, there is already a massive growing split between elements within MAGA and we're still not even at the inauguration.
Elon and Vivek on one side are very open about wanting masses of legal immigrants, including millions of pajeets, if they can work more hours for less pay than Americans. They kept this somewhat subdued but in the past few days have gone entirely mask off about it. Musk has compared the US to a "sports team" where you can just buy and swap out players, rather than a shared identity and history bound by soil. Vivek basically called Americans lazy and unmotivated and bigged up the Asian work ethic and culture.
Musk is a massive retard so it's unlikely he ever understood what MAGA-style protectionism entailed, but most importantly he's a businessesman who wants to maximise profit for himself. He's now made it clear he never cared about the movement.
Given Elon and Vivek now have a significant role in the upcoming administration, and Musk has basically appointed himself Trump's right hand man, will this cause a massive rift within MAGA, and possibly a public falling out? Does Trump even oppose this in reality?
Two South African and Indian descent billionaires arguing that foreigners should be given jobs ahead of Americans if it benefits the bottom line is not exactly what the working classes drifted to the Republican party for, is it?
