Even though I can cook a full, hearty, properly seasoned meal for an entire family (I did just that today), I don't want to have to end up slaving in the kitchen for my future girlfriend/wife if I fell in love with her and found out that she can't cook or can only cook very basic, bland meals such as pesto pasta and boiled, unseasoned vegetables - I want her to at least share some responsibility with me equally.

The same thing goes with cleaning - today I cleaned my entire house from top to bottom, my back hurts and my hands are dry, but I don't want my future wife/girlfriend to slave me either - she has to also share half of the work.

Hispanic women cook, but the newer generations that grow up here don't. I assume the same applies to Indian and Arab women as well. I remember when I had a white friend who invited me to his Christmas potluck - there were a bunch of white people there (I carried my black friend uninvited) - we both agreed the food they cooked was bland, tasteless and watery....

The good thing about my white mum is that she picked up on my dad's cooking style (tends to be heavily seasoned of course), and can also cook international cuisine in the kitchen really well.

I think it's mainly Northern/Germanic Europe that is considered poor from a culinary perspective. This is mainly due to climate limiting what plants can be grown. Scandinavia would be the most extreme example of this, where the delicacies associated with these places are fermented fish dishes that are considered extreme acquired tastes and revolting to most people.

Obviously, France and places even further south in Europe don't really have this problem because the growing season lasts for the overwhelming majority of the year and the climates found are much more clement and suitable for a wider range of vegetables, spices and fruits to be grown.

5-10% can do it, but they only will in the beginning stages of a relationship. And only with a chad. My wife cooks, cleans, and takes care of baby every day. Even before baby was a factor in our lives, during the first 2 and a half years of our marriage, she cooked and cleaned every day. She became a much better cook after we got married. Even her family commented on it during get togethers like Chinese New Year. Don't think I'm bragging. This is how all relationships should be. It's a must. Wives must have other qualities though too.
