@Amnesia I think it's definitely an improvement over what his eyes looked like before, but IMO the results are kind of underwhelming... or at least, the results are underwhelming compared to the results I'm looking to get. Hopefully he just told Taban to make his eyes look like they did prior to getting lower blepharoplasty.

So I spent some time looking over all Tabans before after pics on RealSelf on lower lid retraction. It definitely appears that some of his results are very underwhelming but there is the occasional ascension. I don't know if that's because the patient doesn't ask for a huge change or if it's because Taban doesn't want or is not capable of making such a dramatic change.

Yeah, I browsed over a lot his results as well and basically came to the same conclusion as you about being overwhelmed. That's why I made the other thread where I talked about considering Dr. Y for my eye procedures (although I agree that the safest bet is probably Taban).

This proves that you need a decent base, otherwise getting surgeries won't help much, his eye shape is below average, so getting that surgery wouldn't improve at all his eye area

Now you guys see why I'm so apprehensive about dropping so much money to have surgery with Taban. It's also why I'm giving at least a little bit of consideration to going with Dr. Y since he recommended doing the same procedures as Taban. Who are some other oculoplastic surgeons besides Taban who may be capable of attaining significant, overhaul-tier results?

you will get higher then a 0.5 icnrease since your eye area is far more worse then the guy in the op.

Most of the 0.5 psl increase that you think he gained has nothing to do with the surgery but because of less lens distortion, longer hair, and better angle, he basically made a surgery to be squinting 24/7, the shape of the eyes still look far from ideal

Like the other poster said, you will get more than a slight increase in overall looks since your eye area is worse than the guy in OP. But this goes to the principle I was saying to you earlier about your jaw, its diminishing returns after a while when you have no obvious flaws in that said feature. Right now your jaw does not need attention it's good

I agree with the general point you're making, but the main reason I want to get the rest of the jaw implant put in is not just to improve the jawline itself, but for the ancillary benefits that would go along with it -- primarily in terms of how it will improve the results of my midface implants. To be more specific, by lowering the angles a bit and adding a small amount of width, it will stretch out my midface tissues and allow them to sink in more to create more of that hollowing effect that you see in guys like Henry Cavill and most MMs.

Also, I know it doesn't look obvious in photographs, but my jawline is kind of curved, which makes my head look sort of oval-shaped from far away. I guess it isn't really a big deal, but I like how the edges of the jaw implant are perfectly straight and not curved at all, which should help give my face more of that photogenic chiseled look.

... But anyways, yeah, hopefully Taban understands that I'm not just looking to make my eye area look "normal" or average -- I'm trying to get results that will basically be identity-changing.
