IQ gets more and more important as you study harder STEM subjects at uni, post grad ect

tangibility effect, you need a baseline iq to do well, but you can do perfectly fine as long as you're within a wide range of iq seperate from the two high and low extremes.

For that reason it's impossible to quantify with a %, similar to the 'face or height' debate

when ur a young late bloomer like me, school (i assume the highest schoolform, lower ones are too easy) is very easy,except math, physics and chemistry (was in my case) i assume everyone is like me, like i cannot imagine someone being worse in languages and history than math etc. once my iq developed school is too easy. keep in mind i was ultra lazy, never studied for school and still got by.
