How much of your monthly wage would you be happy to save?

When I was 100% remote and living with parents thanks to COVID-19 Id save almost 100% of my wages. My parents wouldn't ask for money as long as I bought my own stuff. This was lifefeul.

Made a terrible decision to buy a house and move near the city, now I have to keep up with mortgages. Maybe I should rent out to a loser and move back in parents and do a low paid wagecuck job. I can't even save 50% of my wages now.

This feels like 1st world problems. Yes, genuinely it is. But I see no point living near a city if I just spend my time rotting all day. The way I see it I'm spending 50% of my income for nothing in return.

Even my brother who works as a waiter saves more or about the same money as me JFL. The corporate office life in the city is such bullshit. Many young people are drawn into this scam and will spend their life wageslaving for nothing only the fact that they can see famous architecture on their way to work.

Sure it's worth it more. But also Id have less as a result.

I don't see why people give such high value to cities like London. The location itself is a massive scam.
