How often should you lift?

As I mainly do compound exercises I feel like lifting everyday (or even every other day) is too often and will hinder my progress? Shouldn’t the worked out muscle groups get 48 hours to rest (and grow)? That would mean I can only lift 2 max 3 times a week..

3-4 times with compound instead isolated

Depends on which muscle group

Smaller muscles (like shoulders or biceps) recover a lot quicker than larger muscles (like quads or lats)

Go as often as you want, just train muscles that aren't sore and you'll be fine

Most importantly stay consistent, even if it means you only exercise once a fortnight
