How should I ask my dentist for a palate expander?

They never suggested it for me although my palate is quite narrow. It could have a huge impact on my face considering my midface is too long. So widening the palate could help quite a bit.

Thing is I don't wanna come over aspie and if I just talk to the dentist like ''I need a wider midface'' she'll be confused and probably be worried and get a psychologist.

Should I just tell her that I have breathing problems and how I've heard how palate expansion can help with that?

tbh a palate expansion does not give much aesthetic differences
it will only help your palate and could even ruin your hollow cheeks

except if you are very narrow, but you need the teeth to compensate
a palate expansion could even widen the mandible

I went to get braces and she automatically made me have an palate expander.
Didn't change my face too much though

No but I feel like my eyes are less close together now but maybe that's hallucination

I don't get it, isnt the entire point of palate expansion to widen your mouth?

Of course it widened my mouth. I misunderstood your question. I meant to say that it didn't make any aesthetic difference, my lips are still as narrow as before.
My upper jaw is a bit wider now so there's enough space for my teeth

It improves smile but it terms of maxilla and rest of face does nothing
