Depends on how much weight you want to lose. Figure out a goal weight and figure out what your deficit’s going to be. A pound of fat is roughly 3500 calories, which means if your maintenance is 2500 then eating 2000 daily will let you lose a pound per week. If you want to cut down 15 pounds then start cutting 15-20 weeks in advance.
