How the fuck do i find the ventrogluteal injection site

Anyone care to share a guide they used? Been trying to wrap my head around it for like 30 min but the muscle there is so tense when i do any flexes nothing moves.

Yeah i saw that too but theres a hundred different guides and some show different places, Also this is hard to pinpoint on self

I decided to just say fuck it and eyeball it and what i did was i just went straight down from the tallest part of the illiac crest and aim for between it and the greater thocanter so smack in the illium and it landed perfectly. Didnt hurt at all with a 25g 1 inch needle and i only got some stiffness afterwards which is expected when pushing more then 1 cc in a new spot.
So all in all it was a sucess and a new favorite pin spot. Dont know why every guide online makes it seem so hard
