I have a white collar job aswell in security industry. Depending on the object and the (night)-shift, I have almost nothing to do except a multiple hour walk for control. This means I smoke weed, order food, read books, sleep, study languages, or do whatever else I wanna do. I don't give a single shit about productivity. Right now, I'm studymaxxing so I can gain more certifications in this field in order to work even less and earn way more money.
