Have a reason to quit

this is something that truly changed the game for me

talking from my experience, i wanted to look at women and not have sexual thoughts
and the biggest reason for me was to form a better connection with god

if I go for details, the main reason was basically devotion, i just wanted to offer something, to quit something that made me feel like i can't look in the eyes of the goddess i want to be devoted to

your reason to quit needs to be stronger than the urge to watch porn
im sure you can find it out if u haven't already

• Stop Thinking About Being on NoFap (no porn specifically)

i just left and...
just left
i didn't look back, i didn't think again
i didn't think 24/7 about being on nofap and controlling myself or just basically thinking about anything connected to porn or not watching porn, you just start living your normal daily life and don't do this specific activity

what i mean to say is, don't make yourself feel like you've achieved something big in life, because if you do, it'll just stay in the back of your mind & it'll keep rotating, very soon it'll catch up to you

"i can't watch porn I can't watch porn I'm isolating myself from porn i can't jerk off i can't jerk off i can't jerk off"

the things you try to avoid the most are the things you end up doing

just quit and forget

Replace
don't just try to get rid of this habit, replace it by another one

when you feel the urge, try distracting yourself with something that you actually like doing, for me it was cooking
I usually kept myself busy in the kitchen for around 1-2 hours since I was saving that time by not watching porn, you can do absolutely anything that you like doing, watching TV shows, even watching insta reels if your feed is not full of goonbait

• One more thing i wanted to add in,
DONT feel bad or guilty if you relapse,
what happened has happened, just look forward and go on again, it's not a streak that you have to maintain for 67 years to reach gandy heaven, it's an addiction that you need to quit, that's the goal

Misconception

people think "muh once I quit porn it's over for all normies, I'll get my life together ez once i get rid of this addiction"
it's really not all that
no fap won't ascend you or make you a god amongst normies, it won't give u the effects of pinning 250 mcg test a week

most effects are psychological (as of my personal experience)

I've seen way too much content online about quitting porn and becoming a demigod, pure copium

BUT, this does not mean that I am suggesting you to watch porn, as various studies have shown the negative impacts on the brain due to pornography
+ it's just better to not watch porn, it'll make your relations and mannerism better with females especially.

Remember, Lust is not your enemy, you just need to not be chained by it

anyways :3
here are all the pros that I have personally experienced so far:-

Confidence boost
• Better Time Management

Less Distracted During Day to Day Tasks
• Less Socially Anxious
• Lesser Anger issues

btw, at one point seeing anything nsfw online doesn't even trigger you or give you urge to watch porn, and honestly that moment feels so freeing :Comfy:

mirin thread, good job on the quitting.

its not as easy to just quit for all, especially people who dont have much going on in their lives.

best thing you can do is quit porn first.

its so fking hard I quit it for like 4 months (talking about watching porn without jerking), then I came back and binged it for like a whole week straight. then it felt boring, so I quit for 3 4 months then the cycle repeats again and again

wow, another basic thread on how to quit porn like we don't all know this already? jesus christ newfags are so fucking predictable and annoying. of course you need a reason to quit, duh, or else what motivation would you have if your life is just a standard rut of watching endless hours of pornography every single day? pathetic little virgin. the thing that really works for me personally (and i'm guessing it does for most veterans here) is realizing how absolutely worthless and disgusting porn makes me feel afterward compared to being able to actually meet women in real life and form genuine connections, which obviously isn't possible if you spend all your time masturbating yourself stupid instead of building up the courage to interact with females. quit porn already so we can stop seeing these thread bump after pathetic bump from obvious newfags like yourselves who clearly haven't been around long enough to learn anything on this board.
