For starters, let me preface this, that we don’t even know if we can ,,train” this muscle.
Why’s that? Well because the Masseter is a pretty small muscle, and it probably
Maxes out in terms of motor unit recruitment just from stuff like chewing food.
Another example of that would be certain muscles of your forearms. Training them has no benefit, as they are already trained by doing daily activities.
For the sake of this guide though, let’s say the masseters don’t max out in terms of MUR (Motor unit recruitment) just from chewing food.
How do you train them?
•assuming they don’t max out in terms of mur from chewing, you would need to train them like any other muscle.
You don’t train your legs just by walking, so why train your masseters by chewing more food?
A muscle needs 2 things to grow, mechanical tension and high degrees of effort. You can achieve that by doing an isometric, for example
Get a mouthguard or something to make sure your teeth don’t touch, and just start clenching.
you should clench with full force, for around 3 seconds, doing 4 Bursts of these clenches.
Volume:
you should do around 2-3 sets of this, every other day. Make sure you have at least x2 a week frequency.

even if masseter training might not work, they can still get a pump, which is temporary, but might be worth it depending on the occasion
