i fucking suck at monologuing. guess i’m just going to pick some random topics and just babble on while recording to see what i can improve on.

vocabulary is cope there is this stat where they showed the US presidents’ vocab level based on grade level. trump had a more lower grade level, but that made him appeal more to the audience due to a more dumbed down and conversational approach compared to Hilary Clinton who had a higher grade level and had a more hesitant approach as well as having corny jokes that don’t appeal to the masses

my advice is to just put in the reps. try to talk to more people as possible (i cold approach guys in the dining room at uni so that I can sit somewhere jfl), and try to start a conversation then from something I notice about them.

and music lowkey makes you talk in different ways like rap music makes you talk in eubonics more often. I remember I had this curry friend in middle school and he used to listen to migos t-shirt everyday and soon after he started recited the lyrics and acted black asf lol

yea don’t worry about it too much you just gotta do it lol. unless you are deformed, no one will really care about your looks in conversations lol even looking good compared to the rest can hinder you.

as someone who people say looks somewhat low trust, you can second guess yourself and just not approach anyone but really nothing bad will happen unless there are clear indications to stay away or steer clear. hell I met a lot of great people and got new connections from different fields and even got times where they wanted to invite me to events.

yea completely agree the ones who had a higher vocab were non-republicans like Bernie sanders and Hilary but it’s a somewhat non-correlational statistic

That works, also go to specific places or seek out hobbies where people who take their speech seriously are. You say you read, join a place where you can share the reading.

I studied linguistics for a brief period, if you learn how to write well, this will translate to your verbal communication ability.
You need to actively use the words that you learn if you want to become more articulate. That is the only way you will remember to use a particular word in place of a synonym.
