You think you may have asymmetrical chewing habits, and you want to chew on both sides equally. But knowing if you’re actually exerting equal force on both sides of your jaw can be challenging.
In my experience, wearing a headband helps. By making me feel the contractions of my temporalis muscles (chewing muscles on the sides of the head), I’m more aware of asymmetrical chewing and can more effectively ensure that I chew symmetrically.
