Just got rejected from a career opportunity basically that would have put me on a path to making pretty good money. Worked hard for years to make this happen and now I’m going to be mediocre in income probably (low chance of being lucky enough to strike it big). Is money maxxing overrated IF it involves working 80 hours per week? Is it better to just work 40 hours per week and make normal money? this maybe is cope

my cope was to say that i'll do this slavery job, by working 15h a day, 7/7 - so 95 hours a week - for huge salary but only for let's say 10 years to have enough money then change job.
But already 10 years + 25 yo = 35 yo, so you will be a old cuck.

My honest opinion is :
Do the best job with the best rest time, somehow away from Capital, and meanwhile find a GL woman and be happy, it's all that life can fucking offer.
Pursuing money and not having life left is the worst choice to do, even if i can be coping.

It's pretty much cope unless you can do it for less than 10 years without any trouble which is impossible.
In my field, i know some pretty genius guys, who can works easily 15h a day.
And believe me or not, they ALL have stopped to work in this 95h a week job, because they all had a burnout.
If people that steadfast have it, i know i will have it too. It's just not for normal beeing whatever the earning is.
I was always looking for a "niche" job, where you can have good earning and having a "life".
But it's probably a myth, just try to find the best ratio job tbh.
Our lifes matters more.

250k is great tho and can get you hot girls regardless of your looks level
