How to cope with lost teen years?

My teen years were pretty much a void, I had barely any friends and hid in my shell being depressed over being ugly and socially isolated myself and had perpetually low self eesteem wondering what was wrong with me.

I don't even care about teen love or any of that garbage I wish I had friends or nice experiences. My birthdays were so depressing. So much I could have done.

I'm turning 18 in 2 weeks don't know what to make of it. if time slips by again it's completely over I'm an oldcel now

I had a reasonably mispent youth. I wasn't a permarotter, I had some experiences (house parties, clubbing, tresspassing, drugs etc, no love though ) but overall I feel I wasted my youth on videogames.

Your just going to have to accept you missed out. However there is some good news.

1. Your young. I would say your prime is between 18-25. At a push your prime lasts until your 30. Its more important to look young over actually being young. If you can larp being in your 20's when your in your 30s and 40s you can still live your youth. Do you think if soembody like Kayne West showed up to a club at 44 anyone would say he is "too old".

2. Your life doesn't end when you turn 30. The main difference is that you have responsibilities. This is the main difference between youth and adulthood. You can't just do whatever the fuck you want. Maybe you have children, or a mortgage to pay. I know oldcels who still socialise alot, however after your youth 18-25 you will have to try harder to mantain social circles. This is why 18-25 is seen as your good years. You are young and have all the perks of being an adult without the downsides of responsibility.

3. The idea of missing out is mainly a concept pushed by the media to make you spend money. You have only missed out if you feel you haven't spent your time correctly. Somebody who did nothing but party, slay and do drugs could feel that he has wasted his time.

You should also note how friends betray each other all the time. In hindsight it's not that bad being lonely. What matters in the end is that you enter Jannah.
